How we fix it

We check hinge condition, sash squareness and frame plumb, then adjust the flags (up to 6mm of travel) or swap them for a heavier-duty set if they're worn. Takes 60–90 minutes. Adjust the hinges to bring the sash back into square, then re-align the keeps. If the hinges themselves are worn, we swap in heavier-duty replacements rated for 100kg door leafs.

Why PVCu doors start sticking (usually around year 8–12)

PVCu doors sticking in summer and closing loose in winter is one of the most common Leicester callouts we get.
