Door types we fit across Leicester and Leicestershire
A door is not one product with different pictures on it. A composite front door, a reinforced uPVC back door, a pair of French doors and a bi-fold set differ in how they are built, how they lock, how they insulate and how long they take to fit. Comparing them on price alone tells you almost nothing.
Every door we fit carries a TS007 3 star anti snap cylinder and multi point locking, in a PAS 24 tested frame, with laminated glass in any panel within reach of the lock. That is the specification, not an upgrade tier.

uPVC Doors
From £799 fully fitted
The practical, lower cost door. Lighter than composite, cheaper to buy, and entirely adequate where the door is not the main entrance or the main worry.
Patio and Sliding Doors
From £1,650 fully fitted
Large panes that slide past each other on a track. Nothing swings, nothing takes floor space, and the glass area is bigger than any hinged door can offer.
Bi-fold Doors
From £2,650 fully fitted
Panels that concertina back against one side of the opening, giving almost the entire width as clear space. The most dramatic option and the most demanding to fit.
Front, back and garden, priced honestly
The pattern that suits most local homes is composite at the front, where the solid core and the weight genuinely matter, and reinforced uPVC at the back, where the money is better spent on laminated glass than on a thicker slab. We say that even though it is the cheaper recommendation.
For garden access, the width of the opening decides it. Under about 1.8 metres, French doors give you the whole opening. Wider than that and a slider gives a better everyday view, or bi-folds give you the entire wall if you will genuinely fold them back.
