How we fix it
We identify the multipoint make (usually Yale, ERA, Fullex, Winkhaus or Avocet) from the faceplate, source the correct gearbox and either repair the mechanism or swap it complete. The door itself almost always stays. A like-for-like PAS 24 rated multipoint swap plus a 3-star TS007 anti-snap cylinder. We re-align the keeps at the same time so the door closes properly and stops damaging the new mechanism.
- Same-week response on lock-failure callouts
- 3-star anti-snap cylinder fitted as standard, not as an upsell
- Repair-first approach — we swap the gearbox, not the whole door
- Likely causes on Leicester homes: Worn gearbox in a 8–12 year old multipoint lock; Dropped door misaligning the keeps against the strike plates.
