Why aluminium windows are specified the way they are
The honest case for aluminium is glass area. On a large opening the frame can be half the width of a uPVC equivalent, which means noticeably more daylight and a sharper line. The case against is cost, and anyone who tells you it is dramatically warmer than a good uPVC window at the same glass specification is selling rather than explaining.
