Double Glazing in Ashby-de-la-Zouch

Replacing glass instead of the whole window

When we survey double glazing in Ashby-de-la-Zouch (LE65) we check the glass separately from the frame. Sometimes the frames are sound and the answer is new sealed units at a fraction of the cost. We say so, and roughly a third of the glass enquiries we take here end that way rather than as a full replacement.

How we specify double glazing here

Two panes separated by a warm edge spacer bar, argon filled, with a low emissivity coating on the inner face of the outer pane that reflects room heat back inside. Laminated options on accessible openings, internally beaded so the unit cannot be lifted out from the street, and toughened glass where the regulations require it near doors and low sills.

• A-rated units with warm edge spacer and argon fill as standard
• Laminated glass available on every ground floor opening
• Sealed unit guarantee covered within the 10 year insurance-backed cover
• The from price of £450 fitted includes A-rated double glazing. Upgrading glass within a double glazed unit, to acoustic or solar control, is normally a modest addition rather than a step change.
