The specification we fit as standard
A dedicated flush profile where the opening sash closes into the frame rather than over it, giving a single flat plane outside. It is a different extrusion, not a standard casement with trim added. The same shootbolt locking and reinforced keeps as a standard casement, with the lock geometry adjusted for the flush closing face so the compression is even along the sash. Thermally equivalent to a good standard casement, with the same A-rated glass options. The gain here is appearance rather than performance, and we say so plainly.
- True flush profile, not a standard sash with a cover trim
- Woodgrain foils and heritage colours matched to the elevation
- Same 10 year insurance-backed guarantee as every other window we fit
- Expect roughly fifteen to twenty per cent above a standard casement of the same size and glass. On a front elevation that is usually money well spent, on a rear extension it usually is not.
- We are honest about where this makes sense. The performance is the same as a good standard casement, so the case for flush is architectural. If the front of your house faces the street and the windows are the main thing people see, it is worth it. If you are replacing a rear kitchen window nobody looks at, put the money into glass instead.
