RAL 8022
Schwarzbraun Doors & Windows
Near-black with a warm brown undertone — the connoisseur's anthracite.
About Schwarzbraun
Schwarzbraun (RAL 8022) is a deep blackish-brown originally specified on German aluminium systems. On UK composite doors and windows it gives the impact of black without the cold edge — especially flattering on red brick and warm stone.
We fit Schwarzbraun most often in Stoneygate, Knighton and on listed cottages around Billesdon and Tilton where homeowners want a near-black but the survey shows pure black reads too cold.

From our installers
Schwarzbraun isn't carried by every supplier — order lead times can run 2–3 weeks longer than standard anthracite. We'll confirm dates at survey.

Seeing Schwarzbraun before you choose
Schwarzbraun is a very dark brown that can read as black in dull light and brown in sunshine. Because of that, we always recommend looking at a physical sample against your brick on the survey rather than choosing from a screen.
It is available on our composite doors from £1,099 fitted and on uPVC windows and doors, with white or matching inside faces. Dark colours like this suit red brick and render alike, and pair well with matt black or brushed graphite handles and letterplates.
