Choosing a colour for uPVC windows
Coloured uPVC windows are finished with a foil or coating applied during manufacture, so the colour is part of the frame rather than paint. Many homeowners choose a colour outside and white inside, which keeps rooms bright while changing the look of the house from the street.
Darker colours suit modern and rendered homes; greens and woodgrain finishes often suit older brick houses. Seeing samples in daylight against the wall is the most reliable way to decide.
Matching doors and windows
If you are replacing both, matching the door and window frames gives a joined-up finish, while a contrasting front door colour can work well against neutral frames. Tap any colour above for pairing notes.
How colour affects the price
Our windows and doors are available in a wide range of RAL powder paint finishes, plus dual colour options with a different colour inside and out. A standard range of colours is also available.
Many popular colours, including anthracite grey, carry no surcharge over white on the ranges we fit. On the survey we bring physical samples so you can see each colour against your own brickwork before deciding.
